Support yourself financially and practise your English in the work environment! Many countries have arrangements with Australia which allow you to get a working holiday visa.
If you are aged between 18 and 31 years old then you could qualify. A working holiday visa allows you to stay in Australia for 12 months from the date you first enter the country. During your stay you can take up short-term employment of not more than six months with any one employer. You can also study for up to three months. Countries which currently have this arrangement with Australia are: the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, Japan, Ireland, Korea, Malta, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Hong Kong SAR, Finland, Italy, Taiwan, Cyprus, Belgium, Estonia and France with more countries due to join the scheme soon.
If you are from Chile, Iran or Turkey you could qualify for a Work and Holiday visa, which also makes you eligible to join Work and Travel Company.
